Dance drama Peacock was the last appearance of forty years on the stage of Yang Liping, it was a peacock making ancient skirt, and was a combination of Chinese and Western elements. It was a production made by cooperation of Hongkong and mainland, Hongkong team accomplished 「structure」 and「 western cutting」, while mainland team completed complex handcraft and art designing, and integrated afterwards, which was a combination of 「 western cutting」and 「 eastern cutting」 and combination of traditional and modern. From black mountain, birdcage, candle, lantern ancient trees, cirrus, flags to pure black or pure white clothing of actors, on the stage, and to lifelike tails of peacock dancers, creations of art director Timmy Yip can be embodied everywhere.
